Kanzaki

Kanzaki is a city in central Saga Prefecture that spreads between mountainous terrain in the north and the flat Chikugo Plain in the south. The layout includes traditional neighborhoods, school facilities, and river-side areas that shape its day-to-day character.

The settlement existed during the Edo period as part of the Saga Domain before formal recognition as a town in 1893. Modern growth and infrastructure development led to its elevation to city status in 2006.
