Kaminokawa, Municipal town in Kawachi district, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan

Kaminokawa is a town in Tochigi Prefecture with flat land and the Kinugawa River running through its southeastern portion. The landscape is mostly rural, with farmland and woodland covering much of the area.

The town was established in 1889 and gained town status in 1893, then expanded in 1955 when neighboring communities merged with it. These changes shaped the area into its present form.

The municipality maintains seven primary schools, three middle schools, and one high school, reflecting the educational priorities of this Japanese community.

The town is accessible through the Tohoku Expressway and National Routes 4 and 352 for easy travel. There is no passenger train service, so having a car makes exploring the area more convenient.

A major automobile manufacturing plant operates here and plays a central role in the local economy. This facility is one of the largest employers in the region and shapes daily working life for many residents.
