The Bandai Museum in Mibu houses a collection of toys from Japan and around the world, ranging from rare historical pieces to contemporary action figures. The displays show how Japanese toy manufacturing evolved over the decades and its influence on global popular culture.

The museum was founded in 2007 and displays rare objects such as Edison's inventions and a steam-powered British automobile from 1919. The collection documents significant moments in the history of toys and their technological evolution.

Exhibits showcase the progression of Japanese toy manufacturing through different periods, reflecting societal changes and technological advancement in the industry.

The museum sits near Omochanomachi Station and is open daily to visitors. Plan for an hour or two to comfortably explore the main displays at your own pace.

At the entrance stands an oversized bust of the Gundam robot, and inside visitors can see the detailed model replica of the White Base ship. These pieces are among the most striking works from the anime realm and draw fans from around the world.
