The facility opened in July 2020 following a construction phase that began in November 2018 under Kajima Corporation's direction. This new venue represented a major infrastructure investment for the Tochigi region.

The facility can be accessed through multiple parking areas on the south and west sides with hundreds of available spaces. Note that a running track circles the playing field, so middle to upper seating rows offer the best view of matches.
