Hirota Shrine, Shinto shrine in Nishinomiya, Japan.
Hirota Shrine features traditional Shinmei-zukuri architecture with simple wooden structures and raised floors connected by covered walkways throughout the grounds.
The shrine dates back to 201 AD when Empress Jinguu established it upon returning from Korea, as documented in Japan's oldest historical text, Nihonshoki.
The shrine holds regular ceremonies including Asa-mi-ke-sai and Yuu-mi-ke-sai each morning, maintaining centuries-old Shinto traditions for the local community.
Visitors can reach the shrine by taking a bus from Hankyu Nishinomiya-kitaguchi Station, with multiple services running throughout the day.
Twenty thousand kobanomitsuba azaleas, distinguished by their three small leaves, bloom across the shrine grounds at the beginning of April.
