Fujita Art Museum

The museum displays 5,000 oriental antiquities, including Chinese and Japanese paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, sculpture, and tea ceremony objects across multiple exhibition halls.

Fujita Denzaburo, a Meiji-era businessman, founded the collection in response to cultural artifacts leaving Japan during the post-restoration period of the 1800s.

The collection contains nine national treasures and fifty important cultural assets, including the Murasaki Shikibu Diary Emaki, a manuscript from the 13th century.

Visitors can reach the museum through Osakajo-Kitazume Station on the JR Tozai Line, with exhibitions occurring twice yearly during spring and autumn seasons.

The museum building originated as a treasury of the Fujita family residence, surviving the 1945 Osaka air raids while protecting its valuable contents.
