Hamarikyu Gardens, Garden in Tokyo, Japan

Hama-rikyū Gardens is a public park in Chūō, Tokyo, Japan.

The garden was built by Tokugawa Tsunashige, the brother of the fourth shogun Ietsuna, in 1654.

It features seawater ponds which change level with the tides, and a teahouse on an island where visitors can rest and enjoy the scenery.

The garden is a 10-minute walk from Shiodome Station.

Hama-rikyū Gardens is a designated Special Place of Scenic Beauty.
