Monument to Party Founding, Political monument in Pyongyang, North Korea.
The Monument to Party Founding presents three raised hands grasping a hammer, sickle, and brush, reaching 50 meters into the sky with granite and bronze materials.
The structure opened on October 10, 1995, marking five decades of the Workers' Party of Korea through its symmetrical design and architectural proportions.
Three large bronze reliefs inside the monument depict the themes of party roots, population unity, and future development of North Korean society.
Military personnel supervise visitor access to the monument, and guests must follow designated paths while maintaining proximity to assigned guides.
The circular belt surrounding the monument contains exactly 216 blocks, corresponding to specific dates in North Korean political leadership.
