Jung District, Administrative district in central Seoul, South Korea.
Jung District spans 9.96 square kilometers and contains fifteen administrative neighborhoods distributed across the northern side of the Han River.
Following Seoul's initial district zoning in 1943, Jung District underwent a substantial reorganization in 1975, incorporating multiple neighborhoods from surrounding areas.
The district maintains numerous cultural institutions, including Deoksugung Palace, Namdaemun Market, and Dongdaemun History and Culture Park.
Seoul Station and multiple subway lines serve Jung District, connecting residents and visitors to all parts of the metropolitan area.
The district houses major financial institutions, government offices, and newspaper headquarters while being the smallest administrative division in Seoul.
