Seongnam Arts Center, Opera house and arts centre in Bundang-gu, South Korea
Seongnam Arts Center is an opera house and arts center in Bundang-gu with three main performance spaces. The building houses an opera hall with roughly 1,800 seats, a concert hall with roughly 1,000 seats, and a smaller chamber theater with roughly 400 seats.
The center opened in October 2005 through an initiative by the Seongnam Cultural Foundation. It was created to expand performing arts offerings in the Gyeonggi-do region and support professional art programs.
The center displays works by artists from Korea and around the world in its gallery spaces. Visitors can experience both contemporary and classical art forms from different countries here.
The venue is located near Imae Station and is easily accessible by public transport. Child care services are available during performances for visitors with young children.
The concert hall is fitted with special acoustic banners that optimize sound and extend reverberation time. This technical system allows musicians and audience members to experience exceptional sound quality.
