Bundang Central Park, Urban park in Sunae-dong, South Korea
Bundang Central Park spreads across about 42 hectares of green space with walking paths, cycling lanes, and open fields throughout the Youngjangsan mountain area. The grounds feature four badminton courts, exercise equipment, and restroom facilities.
The park was established in 1994 and preserves the Sunae-dong House, a late Joseon-period structure designated as a cultural treasure of Gyeonggi Province. This building documents the original village that once existed at this location.
The park hosts performances and gatherings at its outdoor theater with four pavilions, where seasonal events bring neighbors together throughout the year.
The park sits about 500 meters from Seohyeon Station and has two parking lots with restroom facilities available. Its extensive pathways and open green areas make it easy to explore on foot or by bicycle at your own pace.
Bundang Pond within the park contains working fountains and a functional watermill, blending natural water with engineered features. This combination reveals how water was historically used for both practical and decorative purposes.
