Gwanggyo Lake Park

Gwanggyo Lake Park is an urban park centered around a lake surrounded by paved walkways, bicycle paths, and landscaped gardens with native plants. The lake circumference spans approximately 2 kilometers and serves as the park's main focal point.

The park developed during the 2000s as part of a urban renewal initiative in Suwon that transformed previously undeveloped land. This project integrated water management systems with public recreational spaces in a single site.

The outdoor spaces host regular traditional performances and seasonal festivals where you can experience Korean customs. These gatherings make the park a vital meeting point for the local community throughout the year.

The park features dedicated bicycle lanes, multiple restroom facilities, and information kiosks positioned throughout the grounds. Rental services for recreational equipment are available near the main entrance, and various rest areas are distributed around the site.

The park includes an ecological corridor connecting the lake to smaller ponds that creates a natural habitat for wildlife. This allows visitors to observe migratory birds at different times of year, making it a notable spot for bird watching.
