Gyeongnam Regional Government Complex, Joint Government Building in Masanhappo District, South Korea.
Gyeongnam Regional Government Complex is a modern administrative building with eleven floors above ground and one basement level, covering about 26,160 square meters. Inside are offices for multiple government agencies, conference halls, meeting rooms, and specialized spaces for handling administrative services.
The building was constructed between March 2011 and March 2013 to house government agencies that were displaced by the Masan Marine City Construction Project. The complex was created to bring these departments together in a new, centrally located facility.
The civic plaza in front functions as a meeting point where residents can engage directly with government representatives. The layout expresses the idea that administration and people should work closely together.
The complex is open to visitors who need to conduct government business or explore public areas. When visiting, follow standard procedures for government buildings and allow extra time to find the right department among the various offices.
The building features advanced earthquake-resistance and wind-protection systems designed to withstand extreme weather events that occur approximately every hundred years. These engineering precautions make it a specially built structure in the region.
