Gyeonghwa Station Cherry Blossom Road

Gyeonghwa Station Cherry Blossom Road, Cherry blossom covered rail path in Jinhae district, South Korea

Gyeonghwa Station Cherry Blossom Road is a roughly 400-meter footpath along former railway tracks in Jinhae, lined with cherry trees on both sides. The route runs through an old station area and remains open to visitors throughout the year.

The railway here once served military supply trains during the Korean War in the 1950s. After the tracks fell into disuse, people began to appreciate the trees, and the site gradually transformed into a spring destination.

The location takes its name from the station where cherry trees form a natural ceiling over the former tracks. Visitors walk here in April among the blossoms, making the space a meeting point where travelers and locals gather to experience the season together.

The path is freely accessible year-round with no fixed opening hours. Parking is available nearby, and an information center on site helps visitors get oriented and answers questions about the area.

The station was decommissioned and no trains have run here for decades, making it a safe walkway without active rail traffic. This sets it apart from other blossom sites where visitors and trains must share the space.
