Legoland Korea Resort, Theme park in Chuncheon, South Korea
Legoland Korea Resort is a theme park on Jungdo Island featuring over 40 rides and attractions designed for families with children. The grounds include themed hotels, dining options, shops, and multiple entertainment zones such as Bricktopia, Lego Castle, Lego City, and Ninjago World.
The park developed from a 2011 agreement between Gangwon Province and Merlin Entertainment Group, opening on May 5, 2022. This project introduced the brand to South Korea and created a new destination for families in the region.
The Miniland section displays detailed recreations of South Korean landmarks like Gyeongbokgung Palace and Busan Marine City built entirely from Lego bricks. These reproductions show how local architectural traditions come to life through creative building, giving visitors a playful view of Korea's landmarks.
The grounds are easy to navigate and spacious enough for extended stays or day visits, with good accessibility throughout. Comfortable footwear is recommended since walking between the different zones covers significant distance, especially during peak hours.
The park was built on an island and incorporates archaeological sites dating back 5,000 years within its grounds, making it one of its kind. This blend of ancient history and modern entertainment creates an uncommon experience where visitors encounter both elements during their visit.
