현등사 삼층석탑

Hyeungdeungsa Three-story Stone Pagoda is a three-tiered stone structure rising from a broad foundation with decorative elements at each corner. The levels are defined by curved roof tiles and cornices that create horizontal divisions throughout the monument's height.

This pagoda was constructed during the Unified Silla period and demonstrates the building practices of medieval Buddhist monuments. It represents how temple architecture developed in this classical era of Korean civilization.

Each level of the pagoda contains specific Buddhist symbolism, with five-tiered cornices and decorative elements reflecting Korean religious architecture.

The temple sits on level ground accessible by marked paths and remains open daily from sunrise to sunset for visitors. Wear comfortable shoes since you will walk to reach the pagoda from the temple entrance.

The pagoda maintains its original stone structure with specific proportions where the second and third stories measure one-third the height of the first level.
