Soyosan

Soyosan rises to 587 meters above sea level, featuring steep trails through dense forests and rocky terrain in Dongducheon city.

The mountain holds two Buddhist shrines built to honor the Silla period priests Wonhyo and Uisang, who made notable contributions to Korean Buddhism.

The Jajaeam temple situated on the mountainside continues the centuries-old tradition of Buddhist practices and meditation in natural settings.

Multiple hiking paths start near Soyosan subway station, with clear markers guiding visitors through different difficulty levels to reach the summit.

The mountain contains natural spring wells and small waterfalls, forming part of the prestigious 100 Noted Mountains in Korea collection.
