The protected area encompasses 68,453 hectares of mountains, valleys, and three freshwater lakes surrounded by granite cliffs and dense forests.
The national park, established on August 12, 1985, preserves archaeological sites containing evidence of ancient settlements and burial grounds in northeastern Kazakhstan.
Three lakes within the park borders hold names connected to regional heritage, including Lake Toraygir named after Kazakh poet Sultanmahmut Toraygirov.
Visitors can access multiple designated camping areas, hiking trails, and fishing spots throughout the park, with peak visiting seasons during summer months.
The park contains geological formations of granite rocks shaped by natural erosion, creating distinctive patterns across the mountainous landscape.
