Platinum Tower, Residential tower in Beirut, Lebanon.
Platinum Tower is a residential building in Beirut that rises 152.5 meters with a glass exterior spanning 35 floors, divided into a main tower and a rear section. The interior has 14 elevators with separate elevator lobbies on each floor and apartments with flexible floor plans.
The tower was completed in 2008 during a period of intense urban reconstruction in Beirut in the early 2000s. Its completion marked a turning point in the city's development after years of rebuilding efforts.
The design sets new standards for residential buildings in the city and combines contemporary architectural language with local building traditions. The glass exterior has become a recognizable part of the urban landscape that residents associate with modern development.
The complex has separate entrances and elevator areas on each level, making navigation straightforward and reducing wait times. Keep in mind that this is primarily a private residential project and access may be restricted to residents and their guests.
The building was among the first in the region to use wind tunnel testing during its design phase to optimize the structure against wind forces. The nighttime LED lighting along the glass facade is powered by solar energy and creates a striking visual presence after sunset.
