Jetavanaramaya, Buddhist stupa in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka.
The Jetavanarama features stone staircases measuring 9 meters in width, leading to a terrace surrounding the circular dome structure at its base.
King Mahasena initiated construction between 273 and 301 CE, creating what became the third tallest structure in the ancient world at 122 meters.
The stupa contains a relic believed to be a section of cloth worn by Buddha, making it an important destination for Buddhist pilgrims.
Visitors can access the stupa complex from 8 AM to 5 PM, with entry fees of 25 USD for international tourists and 12 USD for SAARC nationals.
The construction required 93.3 million baked bricks, making it the largest stupa by base area, covering 233,000 square meters.
