Achilleion, Colombo, Residential tower in Bambalapitiya, Sri Lanka
Achilleion is a residential complex in Bambalapitiya designed as two tall towers rising into the Colombo skyline. The buildings were planned to contain hundreds of apartments, each with views of the city.
The project began in 2019 through a partnership between local developer Blue Mountain and a Chinese construction firm. Work was later halted, leaving the towers incomplete.
The development reflects Colombo's shift toward high-rise residential living, where modern towers now define the city's neighborhoods. It shows how urban living standards have evolved in this part of the city.
The complex is located in a central neighborhood of Colombo with easy access. Visitors should note that the site remains under development and access may be restricted.
The original design included one of Sri Lanka's first private helipads for residential use. This luxury feature was meant to set the project apart from other towers in Colombo.
