Užutrakis

Užutrakis is a manor estate near Trakai with an elegant mansion featuring Louis XVI-style interiors, open pavilions, and terraces that overlook Lake Galvė and the nearby castle. The expansive park surrounding the house includes ponds, ornamental gardens, and diverse tree species throughout its grounds.

Count Józef Tyszkiewicz and his wife Jadwiga commissioned this estate in 1896, with construction completed in 1902. The property became the family home and held importance in the social life of the Trakai region during the early 20th century.

The French-style park features ornamental gardens and fountains inspired by classical art, creating spaces where visitors walk through carefully planned landscapes. The design choices and sculptures reflect how the owning family wanted to present themselves and their tastes to society.
