The Hôtel de la Chambre des Députés stands adjacent to the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg City's historic Ville Haute district at 19 rue du Marché-aux-Herbes.
Architect Antoine Hartmann designed this legislative building in 1857, with construction completed between 1858 and 1860 to provide a permanent home for Luxembourg's Chamber of Deputies.
The parliament building represents Luxembourg's democratic values and serves as the central location where national laws are debated and enacted by elected representatives.
Regular guided tours of the Chamber building allow visitors to observe parliamentary sessions and learn about Luxembourg's legislative processes through advance reservations.
During World War II, German occupation forces converted the building into their regional propaganda office, displaying large swastika flags on its balcony.
