ARBED Building, Former steel company headquarters in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
The ARBED building features a prominent sandstone facade with four wings surrounding a large inner courtyard at Avenue de la Liberté.
Completed in 1922 under architects René Théry and Sosthène Weis, the building served as the headquarters for ARBED, a major steel manufacturing company.
The entrance portal displays sculptures of Victoria and Mercury, representing the connection between Luxembourg's mining industry and economic prosperity.
The structure contains 15,000 square meters of office space and currently functions as the headquarters for the State Saving Bank of Luxembourg.
During World War II, German occupation forces established their command center in one section of this administrative building.
