Judiciary City, Baroque judicial complex in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
The Judiciary City is a modern judicial complex in Luxembourg City built from separate structures grouped around shared public squares. The ensemble brings together courtrooms, legal offices, and administrative spaces in a unified architectural setting designed for both staff and visitors to navigate.
This complex was built on the site of former military barracks and opened in 2008, bringing together judicial functions previously scattered across different locations in the city.
The buildings incorporate design elements that promote interaction between different legal departments while maintaining clear pathways for public access.
The site covers several buildings connected by walking paths and open spaces that are easy to navigate on foot. Access to certain areas may require security checks, so plan accordingly when visiting.
Each structure features load-bearing concrete facades designed by architect Rob Krier, creating a unified visual language throughout the 240,000-square-meter development.
