Parc Sidi Mâafa

Parc Sidi Mâafa is a protected area within the Jbel Hamra forest near Oujda, set among pine, cypress, and acacia trees at an elevation of 824 meters. The park provides marked trails for running, mountain biking, and motocross, alongside rest areas with benches and tables throughout the grounds.

The park was established as a conservation initiative to protect the forest ecosystem and its natural resources. Over recent decades, efforts to maintain and expand the woodland have resulted in mature trees that now define the landscape.

This space serves as a hub where locals and visitors gather for outdoor activities and recreation, reflecting how the community values sports and time spent in nature. The designated trails show the role the park plays in promoting an active lifestyle.

The park hosted Morocco's national mountain biking championship in 2011, which highlighted its importance as a sports venue for the region. This event demonstrated how the landscape naturally suited competitive cycling events.
