Bakardan

Bakardan is a mountain summit in the Shar Planina National Park rising to about 2700 meters above sea level. The peak provides views across surrounding mountain ranges in the Polog Region of North Macedonia.

The mountain forms part of the broader Macedonian mountain system and has been traversed by local communities for generations as a passage between regions. Trails crossing Bakardan developed over time as key routes connecting different areas.

The best time to climb is during March, October, and December when weather conditions allow for safer ascending. Established routes lead to the summit, and proper equipment and preparation are important for the ascent.

The summit stands among the higher elevations of the national park and rises distinctly above its immediate surroundings. This prominent position makes it a recognizable landmark within the region's mountain landscape.
