Tsagaan Salaa Rock Paintings

The site contains over 10,000 rock art figures spread across 15 square kilometers along the southern side of the White River Valley.

The rock paintings, dating from the Neolithic to Bronze Age, document the evolution from hunter-gatherer societies to livestock breeding communities in Mongolia.

The petroglyphs showcase different aspects of early human life through detailed images of hunting activities, domestic animals, and social gatherings.

The rock art location requires arrangements with local guides for access, as the site sits within the remote western region of Mongolia.

These petroglyphs represent one of the largest collections of prehistoric art in Asia, covering 2,100 hectares with an additional 3,600-hectare buffer zone.
