Las Palmas

Las Palmas is a cultural center in Feijenoord housing a large exhibition hall, the Nederlands Fotomuseum, and modern restaurants within a restored industrial building. The venue combines multiple functions in a refurbished space located along the waterfront.

The building dates from the 1950s and originally served as a workshop complex for the Holland-America Line shipping company. It was later transformed into a public cultural venue to give the industrial space a new purpose.

The Nederlands Fotomuseum housed here presents photographs and equipment that document Dutch photographic history from the 1800s onward. You can see how the medium developed and changed across generations of Dutch photographers.

The venue is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so plan your visit for other weekdays or weekends. You can contact the restaurant directly by phone or email to make reservations or ask questions.

An elliptical structure rests on slender columns above the original workshop space, creating a striking visual blend of contemporary design and industrial heritage. This approach allows visitors to see how the old and new coexist in the same building.
