Las Palmas, Cultural center in Feijenoord, Netherlands.
Located at Wilhelminakade 330, Las Palmas features a large exhibition hall, Nederlands Fotomuseum, offices, and modern dining establishments within its restored structure.
The building, designed by Broekbakema architects in 1953, served as a workshop complex for the Holland-America Line before its transformation into a cultural venue.
Nederlands Fotomuseum within Las Palmas maintains a collection of photographs, negatives, and equipment representing Dutch photographic heritage from 1841 onwards.
The cultural center remains closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, while visitors can make restaurant reservations through telephone at 010 234 5122 or email.
An elliptical structure rests upon slender columns above the original workshop space, demonstrating the integration of contemporary design with industrial heritage.
