LantarenVenster is a theater with multiple cinema screens and a concert hall housed in a modern building on Wilhelmina Pier overlooking Rijnhaven. The foyer accommodates around 350 people and functions as a social space between film screenings and live performances.

The theater relocated in 2010 from its original Gouvernestraat location to the New Orleans building on Wilhelmina Pier. This move to the newly developed Kop van Zuid district marked an important chapter in the venue's evolution.

The theater screens European and international independent films and serves as Rotterdam's main venue for jazz performances throughout the year. It has become a gathering place for people who seek out alternative cinema and live music.

The venue is accessible seven days a week from morning until late evening, allowing visitors to fit film or music events into their schedule flexibly. The space makes it easy to enjoy a meal or spend time together before or after a performance.

The venue offers specialized film programs such as Cinemini, designed to introduce children ages 2 to 6 to their first cinema experiences. This initiative has made it possible for young audiences to discover film in a way that suits their age and comfort level.
