Maashorst

Maashorst is a municipality in North Brabant comprising six population centers spread across varying terrain. The region borders several neighboring areas including Bernheze, Meierijstad, Boekel, Land van Cuijk, and Oss.

The municipality was created on January 1, 2022 from the merger of Landerd and Uden following local referendums and official approval. This joining brought together two established communities under one administration.

The place brings together traditions from its rural roots and keeps them visible in daily life. You can feel this blend of older customs and modern living throughout the villages.

The name comes from a nature reserve situated between the different village centers. The eastern section of this area belongs to the De Peel region, known for its wetlands and peat bog landscapes.
