Store Skagastølstind

Store Skagastølstind reaches an elevation of 2,405 meters, making it the third highest mountain peak in Norway, located within the Hurrungane mountain range.

William Cecil Slingsby achieved the first recorded ascent of Store Skagastølstind on July 21, 1876, establishing a significant milestone in Norwegian mountaineering history.

The mountain represents a central element in Norwegian outdoor traditions, drawing mountaineers who test their skills on its challenging routes throughout the year.

Climbers need advanced technical skills and appropriate equipment to navigate the exposed snow terrains and steep faces that characterize the ascent routes.
