Mount Mariveles

Mount Mariveles reaches an elevation of 1,388 meters and features a 4-kilometer summit caldera that drains toward the northern side of the mountain.

The volcanic complex had its last recorded eruption around 2050 BCE, leaving behind thermal features such as Tiis Spring, Saysain Spring, and Pucot Spring.

The mountain stands as a natural border of the Zambales Mountains, supporting indigenous communities who maintain connections with the surrounding natural environment.

Hikers can access three main peaks through different entry points: Tarak Ridge from Barangay Alas-asin, Pantingan Peak via Sitio Duhat, and Mariveles Ridge through Sitio Parca.

The mountain formation includes multiple parasitic cones, with Mount Samat on the northern slope and Mount Limay emerging from the eastern section of the complex.
