St. Francis Square, Mixed-use complex in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong, Philippines
St. Francis Square is a mixed-use complex where the BSA Twin Towers serve as the main structure, containing retail, dining, and recreational facilities across 54 floors above ground. The site incorporates restaurants, a fitness center, swimming pools, and a playground within the development.
The project began in the late 1990s and reached initial completion in 2000, then experienced a construction pause that lasted until 2009. This interruption shaped the staggered opening of different sections of the complex.
The mall section features Super Tiangge, where regional trading traditions appear in modern form and visitors can experience how people adapted marketplace habits to contemporary shopping spaces.
The complex is equipped with ten elevators, making movement within the structure convenient and allowing easy access between different levels. Visitors can use the outdoor jogging path and swimming pools to explore the grounds and experience all sections of the facility.
The pyramid roofs of the towers feature neon light logos that become visible across the skyline at night, making the buildings an easily recognizable landmark. The structure also serves as a broadcast station for multiple FM frequencies, playing a functional role in the city's infrastructure.
