Guadalupe Bridge, Road bridge in Makati, Philippines.
Guadalupe Bridge is a road bridge spanning the Pasig River and connecting Makati and Mandaluyong through Epifanio de los Santos Avenue. It features ten traffic lanes designed to handle the high volume of vehicles crossing daily.
Construction started in 1962 under Umali-Pajara Construction Company and EEI Corporation. The bridge opened to traffic on November 23, 1966.
The bridge structure incorporates the Guadalupe station of the EDSA Carousel, enabling thousands of Metro Manila residents to access public transportation daily.
Pedestrians can use the sidewalks provided along the bridge structure. It is best to cross during off-peak hours when traffic is lighter.
Around 220,000 vehicles cross the bridge daily, making it one of the busiest crossings in the Metro Manila area. Despite the constant flow of traffic, it remains a vital link between the two districts.
