Ayala Triangle Gardens, Urban park in Makati Central Business District, Philippines.
Ayala Triangle Gardens is a park in Makati's business district spanning two hectares and planted with more than one hundred tropical trees including rain trees, golden palms, fire trees, and podocarpus. Paved pathways wind through the landscaped grounds with benches positioned throughout for rest.
This space was built on the former site of Nielson Field, Manila's main airport before World War II, where the original runways were transformed into roads forming the triangle shape. This conversion reflects how the city repurposed a historical aviation site for public use.
Public artworks by Filipino artists and monuments honoring national figures like Benigno Aquino Jr. and Gabriela Silang are displayed throughout the space. These works form part of the everyday landscape that visitors encounter while walking through.
The park is open daily and features wide pathways for walking with benches placed throughout for sitting. Restaurants and cafes are located nearby, making it convenient to combine a visit with dining or refreshment stops in the business area.
From November through January the space transforms with synchronized light and music displays featuring LED technology and laser effects that visitors often miss outside this season. This temporary festival changes the character of the garden during these months.
