Salcedo Park

Salcedo Park is a green space in central Makati surrounded by residential high-rise buildings. The compact park contains paved walking paths, stone seating areas, a covered garden walkway with climbing plants, and an open grass lawn where locals gather.

The park was established in 2001, named to honor Colonel Jaime Camacho Velasquez, a 1931 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy and World War II veteran. His legacy influenced the vision for this public space in the Makati district.

The park serves as a gathering place where modern art exhibitions and live music performances connect the community through creative expression. These events shape how people experience the neighborhood and create opportunities to engage with local and contemporary artists.

The park is best for walking and sitting in quiet spots, especially during early morning or late afternoon hours. On Saturdays, a community market opens with regional dishes, international foods, and organic products, which draws crowds to the area.

The park hosts Salcedo Nights Live, a series of classical music concerts and choir performances developed through partnership with the Cultural Center of the Philippines. These shows transform the space into an outdoor venue for opera and orchestral performances.
