Hidalgo Place, Residential tower in Rockwell Center, Makati, Philippines.
Hidalgo Place is a 24-story residential tower in Rockwell Center, Makati, situated at the corner where Residential Drive and Hidalgo Drive meet. The building rises approximately 91 meters and contains residential units arranged in a vertical configuration with shared amenities and services.
Palafox Associates designed this residential structure in collaboration with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, and Rockwell Land Corporation completed the project in 1999. The tower was built during the early phases of Rockwell Center's development as a planned urban neighborhood.
The building reflects how residential architecture has evolved in Metro Manila, showing modern design choices within the planned Rockwell Center community. It shapes the character of a neighborhood where residents from different backgrounds live side by side in a master-planned setting.
The building is served by four elevators that provide vertical circulation throughout the 24 floors for residents. Since this is a private residential building, access is limited to residents and authorized visitors, so prior arrangement is necessary.
The tower was designed with input from Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the international architecture firm known for major projects across Asia. This collaboration brought global design standards to a local residential development during the early growth of the planned community.
