Gala–Rodriguez House, Art Deco mansion in Sariaya, Philippines
The Gala-Rodriguez House features a fan-shaped glass entrance canopy, multiple receiving rooms, and European-style furnishings across its two-story structure.
Built in 1935 by Dr. Isidro Rodriguez for his wife Doña Gregoria, the mansion later served as Japanese military headquarters during World War II.
The National Historical Institute of the Philippines declared this residence a heritage house in 2008, recognizing its architectural and social importance.
Located at 44 Rizal Street, the mansion opens for guided tours and accommodates special events such as weddings in its spacious rooms.
The house contains a hidden cellar accessed through a trap door, which served as a refuge for Carmen Rodriguez during the Japanese occupation.
