Saint Andrew the Apostle Church

Saint Andrew the Apostle Church is a modern building with a butterfly-shaped floor plan and eight concrete pillars arranged around the central altar. The roof forms an X-shaped cross as a defining architectural feature.

Construction began in 1967 on land donated by the Ayala family, and the church opened on November 30, 1968. It represented an early example of modern church architecture in the city.

The interior features artwork by renowned Filipino artists, including Vicente Manansala's copper cross and Napoleon Abueva's white baptismal font. These artistic elements give the church a distinctive local character.

The church is located in a residential area and serves several surrounding neighborhoods. Visitors should expect paved walkways and parking options typical of residential communities in this part of the city.

The roof is intentionally designed with an X-shaped cross that symbolizes Saint Andrew's crucifixion on a diagonal cross. This architectural choice connects religious symbolism directly to the building's form.
