Bahawalpur Central Library, Victorian library in Bahawalpur, Pakistan
The Central Library spans over 65 kanals of land and contains three main sections including a main hall, children's area, and audiovisual archive.
Sir Rufus Daniel Issacs established the library in 1924 during the coronation year of Sadeq Mohammad Khan V with a construction cost of 100,000 rupees.
The library maintains a collection of 127,453 books and historical documents relating to the former Bahawalpur State and regional literary figures.
More than 16,000 members access the library daily between specific hours, utilizing 20 computers and extensive research facilities throughout the building.
The structure features an octagonal tower with intricate Jali work on single-foiled arches and Victorian scrolls at its base.
