Bloody Bastion, Military bastion from colonial era in Multan, Pakistan

The bastion stands between Pak Gate and Delhi Gate on Alang Road, featuring defensive walls constructed with stone and brick materials.

The structure gained its name during the 1849 Siege of Multan when British forces engaged in combat with Sikh defenders at this fortification.

The bastion holds significance in regional military architecture, representing the defensive structures employed during the British colonial period in South Asia.

Visitors can examine the military architectural elements of the structure, including strategic positioning and construction techniques from the colonial period.

The bastion contained the temporary graves of two British emissaries who were killed by Sikh rebels before their remains were relocated to Multan Fort.
