Former Born & Schütze Factory in Toruń, Industrial heritage complex in Mokre district, Toruń, Poland.
The Born & Schütze factory spans multiple buildings across Grudziądzka, Wybickiego, Wiązowa, and Lelewela streets, featuring iron foundries and manufacturing halls from different construction periods.
Established in 1856 by Ernst Schütze and August Born, the facility grew into the second-largest foundry in Pomerania by 1863, producing agricultural machines and tools.
The factory complex received recognition on the Polish cultural heritage register in 1997, preserving an example of 19th-century industrial architecture in Toruń.
The former industrial halls now function as part of the Arpol shopping center, offering retail spaces while maintaining the original architectural elements.
The facility operated a modern iron and steel foundry with a Siemens-Martin furnace, exporting products to Europe, Asia, and Africa during the interwar period.
