The Artur Grottger State Art School occupies a renovated palace building with dedicated spaces for artistic workshops and physical education facilities.
The school started in November 1944 when artist Stanisław Stolarczyk established the Co-educational Secondary School of Painting and Artistic Crafts.
Students at the school develop their skills in four specializations: artistic textiles, sculpting techniques, artistic printing techniques, and intermedia implementations.
The school building includes specialized art workshops, a gymnasium in the former stable building, and a library with educational resources.
The institution operates in the Buchholtz Palace, constructed between 1892 and 1903, which underwent restoration to preserve historical decorative elements.
