Mała Rawka, Mountain summit in Bieszczady Mountains, Poland
Mała Rawka is a mountain summit in the Bieszczady range located at 1,272 meters elevation. A ridge from this peak connects to Połonina Caryńska, with access through the Wyżniańska mountain pass linking the surrounding peaks.
This peak formed during the Alpine mountain-building period that shaped the Bieszczady range. Over thousands of years, erosion and glacial activity carved the current landscape visible from the summit.
The nearby Bacówka PTTK mountain shelter maintains traditional hospitality practices by offering regional dishes and accommodations to passing mountaineers.
A marked trail from Przełęcz Wyżniańska leads to the summit with approximately 300 meters of elevation gain. Visitors should wear sturdy hiking boots and bring weather-appropriate gear, as mountain conditions can change rapidly.
The forest line at approximately 1,254 meters marks the highest natural tree growth boundary in the Polish Bieszczady mountains. This boundary clearly shows where conditions become too harsh for forest vegetation to survive.
