Museum of Brewery in Żywiec

The museum occupies 1600 square meters within former aging cellars, displaying collections of beer barrels, bottles, and brewing equipment from different periods.

The museum opened in 2006 to commemorate 150 years of the Żywiec Brewery, which was established by Archduke Albrecht Friedrich Habsburg in 1856.

The museum exhibits traditional wooden barrels, including the special 200-liter 'dublak' containers that were used for long-distance beer transportation before railway connections.

Visitors need reservations to enter the museum, which operates Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with guided tours available in multiple languages.

The museum features a reconstructed 19th-century Galician street with period-accurate houses, street lamps, and a traditional tavern where visitors learn about brewing methods.
