The Staupsäule is a sandstone structure standing in the Market Square in front of the city hall in Wrocław. It features a pentagonal lantern on top and originally had metal rings attached to it for restraining those who were punished.
The original post was built in 1492 and stood in the Market Square until 1945. The current version was reconstructed and installed in 1985 after the historic structure was destroyed.
