Doha Corniche, Waterfront promenade in Doha, Qatar

The seven-kilometer crescent-shaped Corniche follows Doha Bay, connecting the business district of Al Dafna to the traditional sections of the city.

The development of the Corniche began in the late 1960s through land reclamation projects, with construction of the Amiri Diwan complex starting in 1969.

The Museum of Islamic Art, designed by architect I.M. Pei, stands on an artificial island near the Corniche, displaying artifacts from three continents.

Multiple parking areas connect to the promenade via shuttles and walking paths, while bus stops provide public transportation access throughout the waterfront.

The Richard Serra sculpture '7' stands at the MIA Park pier, representing the spiritual significance of this number in Islamic traditions.
