Al Khor Towers

Al Khor Towers are three cylindrical stone structures standing along the harbor with thick internal walls and openings positioned high up for surveillance. They feature small balconies from which guards could observe the water and approaching vessels.

The towers were built around 1900 to defend the harbor and monitor shipping activity. They also served to protect a nearby freshwater spring, which was essential for the settlement.
