Qatar National Convention Centre, Convention center in Education City, Doha, Qatar.
The Qatar National Convention Centre is a convention center in Education City featuring two distinctive tree-shaped columns supporting an expansive glass facade. Inside, it houses a main conference hall, smaller auditoriums, numerous meeting spaces, and multiple exhibition areas.
The center was designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki and opened in December 2011. It was built as part of Qatar's development projects during that period.
The building's design draws inspiration from the Sidra tree, which holds special meaning in local tradition as a gathering place where people once shared ideas and wisdom.
The facility is easily accessible with multiple entrances serving different areas for visitors. Plan adequate time to navigate through the different halls and exhibition spaces.
The building is equipped with solar panels integrated into its structure to generate its own electricity. This renewable energy system covers a significant portion of the facility's power needs.
